According to him, the Maiduguri zonal office which was commissioned on the 22nd March, 2010 was closed as a result of insurgency in the North East which ravaged and stalled all activities in that part of the country.

“The resumption of its operations in the area came as a priority under the leadership of the current acting Chairman, Ibrahim Mustapha Magu, who is poised to drive the vision, mission, and objectives of EFCC to greater height”, Bappa said.

“Since its resumption of activities, the EFCC, has recorded remarkable achievement in the area of monetary recoveries”, he said.

The Zonal Head warned members of the public to shun all acts of corruption or be prepared to face the wrath of the law as the Commission will spare nobody.
