Over One hundred and ninety participants from Nasarawa north senatorial district of Nasarawa state have benefitted from two weeks skills acquisition training programme organized by the Senator representing the zone.
The Skills programme put together by senator Philip Aruwa Gyunka for his constituents was held in Akwanga, the headquarters of Nasarawa north senatorial district.
The skills acquistion training programme was organised by the senator in conjunction with small and medium enterprises development agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) is aimed at training participants on how to manage businesses for self-reliant.
Speaking at the closing ceremony senator Gyunka says the abundant business opportunity in Nasarawa state and his constituency prompted him to organise the training to enable participants acquire skills that will make them create employment opportunity and boost the economy of the state and the country at large by taking youth and women off the street.
Resource person Mohammed Awal Mohammed urged the participants to put the knowledge gained in the two weeks acquisition training into wealth and expand it in the future into established business to employ people to reduce unemployment in Nasarawa State and Nigeria.
