FG Responds to Judgment On Justice Ademola Case
Following some losses in the court over corruption cases, the Federal Government on Wednesday this week filed an appeal against the decision of Justice Jude Okeke to uphold the no case submission in the corruption case against Justice Adeniyi Ademola, Mrs Olabowale Ademola and Mr. Joe Agi.
The Minstry of Justice has also filed a fresh case in the code of conduct tribunal against Justice Ademola and wife for living above their means and failure to declare assets.
Health Committee on Meningitis
The House Committee on Healthcare Services has urged the relevant authorities to make available to it, a comprehensive report on the outbreak of meningitis ‘c’ in the affected states as well as responses towards containing the spread of epidemic.
This was part of the decisions taken by the House Committee on Healthcare Services at an interactive session with relevant health agencies on the matter.
Jamb Meets VCs on UTME
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board says by this Thursday, it has so far registered close to nine hundred thousand candidate for this year’s unified tertiary matriculation of the one million, five hundred thousand targeted two weeks to the end of registration. The Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyode stated this while discussing with committees of vice chancellors, provosts and rectors of tertiary institution on the matter.
Jonathan Presides Over PDP Meeting
The peace meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party convened by former President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the composition of another reconciliation committee to find political solution to the party’s crisis.
Reports say that the meeting suffered hitches as Senator Ali Modu Sherrif walked out before the end of the meeting.
