Bomb Blast
Three suicide bomb attacks occurred at three different locations in Muna Usmanti, Muna Garage and Muna Ethopia in Borno State.
According to the information officer of the National Emergency Management Agency North East Abdulkadir Ibrahim, five people were killed while eleven others were injured in the incident which occurred about four o’clock in the evening. Among the dead were five suicide bombers and a member of the civilian JTF.
The injured persons were taken to the general hospital for proper attention while the corpses were deposited at the mortuary by officials of the national emergency management agency and the state emergency management agency.

The Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele says with over 31 billion us dollars in its foreign reserve, Nigeria has enough fire power to defend the naira, as currency.
The CBN governor stated this while answering question from senate correspondent after a closed door meeting with leadership of the senate.  
The Central Bank Governor was at the assembly to brief leadership of the senate on CBN’s intervention on the foreign exchange market.

The presidency has reacted to a headline story in a national newspaper entitled: Buhari’s Govt Harassing my Family, says Jonathan.
A statement from the special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina quoted the paper saying former President Goodluck Jonathan made the allegation in a new book, “Against The Run Of Play”, written by the Chairman of Thisday editorial board, Mr. Olusegun Adeniyi.
The former president also reportedly disagreed with the style being used by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in fighting corruption.
