President Buhari Signs Bilateral Agreement
President Muhammadu Buhari has on thursday morning signed ratification for a number of agreements covering anti-corruption, tax administration and intellectual property protection. the president also signed the instruments of ratification of agreement on the transfer of sentenced persons, and extradition treaty including a charter for the lake chad basin between Nigeria, Cameroun, Libya, Niger and the republic of chad.the president therefore directed all relevant government agencies and bodies to commence immediate implementation of the agreements.

President Muhammadu Buhari has formally receive the report of the presidential panel that investigated allegations of wrong doing against the suspended secretary to the government of the federation Babachir David Lawal and the director general of the national intelligence agency, ambassador Ayo Ake. vice president yemi osinbajo chaired the 3-man panel comprising the national security adviser and the minister of justice.
Presidency Advises Opinion Leaders To Exercise Restraint in Public Utterances
The presidency has advised Nigerian opinion leaders to exercise restraint in their choice of words to avoid heating up the polity and creating animosity across the country. This was contained in a statement by the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity Mallam Garba Shehu the statement also notes that criticizing the president for not responding on restructuring of the country is completely off the mark. He said calling president Buhari an enemy of Nigeria is in extreme bad taste, adding that nothing in the president’s service record would justify such a language.
