President Goodluck Jonathan says the Federal Government will continue to give all necessary encouragement and protection to emerging industries in Nigeria to ensure steady economic growth and facilitate the creation of more jobs in the Country. He was speaking at an audience with the new European Union Representative to Nigeria, Michel Arrion. President Jonathan said that in protecting its emerging industries, Nigeria will not be acting differently from the advanced nations of the World who, at similar stages in their development, put measures in place to protect their domestic production, sustain growth and stimulate employment. President Jonathan called on the European Union to support ongoing efforts to ensure stable and constant electricity in Nigeria and commended their support for other developmental programme. The EU Ambassador commended President Jonathan over Nigeria’s improving economic outlook and promised continued support. President Jonathan also bade farewell to the outgoing Indian Envoy in Nigeria, Mhesh Kumar Sached, and assured of better bilateral relations between Nigeria and India.
