As the Good Governance Tour of the South-South geopolitical zone continues, the Minister of information Labaran Maku held a townhall meeting with the people of Bayelsa State in Yenagoa. The Minister commended the State and Federal Government’s efforts at transforming the state in terms of road infrastructure, education infrastructure and other developmental strides.
The Minister also told them that the transformation agenda of the President’s Administration is gender sensitive given the number of women in governance. Mr Labaran Maku urged all Bayelsans to support the government in tackling insecurity in the state.
The National Good Governance Tour has been described as not just a programme to assess service delivery, but also that of knowledge and opportunity for citizens to know Nigeria’s enormous potential.
Deputy Governor, Bayelsa State, Rear Admiral Jonah John Gboribiogha stated this during a courtesy visit by Minister of Information Mr. Labaran Maku and the entourage of National Good Governance Tour on arrival in Yenagoa, the Capital of Bayelsa State.
