Describing the Ministry of Special Duties as a Ministry without borders, Alhaji Tanimu Turaki said his appointment as Chairman of the Amnesty Committee explains the special nature of their mandate which cuts across all sectors.
He said the Presidential Committee is achieving success in it’s assignment. Turning to other achievements in the Ministry resuscitated in February this year, the Minister listed strides in achieving mandate of implementation, monitoring and evaluation of constituency projects.
He said this will lead to massive grass roots development as the President has directed for special attention to abandoned constituency projects to touch the lives of the rural populace.
The Minister also highlighted the achievements of the Ministry in reviewing the National Lottery Act with Lottery Fund established and the giant strides in the National Commission for Refugees in assisting flood victims and returnees.
The Minister of Special Duties and inter-Governmental Affairs currently has four agencies: Nigerian National Merit Award, National Commission for Refugees, National Lottery Regulatory Commission and National Lottery Trust Fund.
