President Muhammadu Buhari says his administration will leverage on all aspects of positive modern technology to drive the nation’s diversification agenda as an alternative to build the economy.

This was in his message presented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the official digital switch over roll out in Abuja.

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo says Nigerians should expect the best in coming years as government at the central states and local levels are working towards a greater country that the nation can be proud of, stressing that the present economic challenge should be seen as temporary.

FRSC Commence Special End of Year Patrol

As the Federal Road Safety Corps commenced it s 2016 End of Year Special Patrol with focus on ensuring “safe arrival for travelers rather than arrest,” the Corps has deployed thirty six thousand, personnel and additional logistics to ensure hitch-free celebrations across the country.

Corps Marshal Boboye Oyeyemi stated this at the Media Briefing for the 2016 End of Year Special Patrol in Abuja.

Senate committee on works tour federal roads in South-East

The Senate Committee on Works says two bills including the Federal Road Authority Bill and the Federal Road funds, when fully implemented will promote the management of federal roads and develop competitive market in road sector in Nigeria.

The Department of State Services says it has uncovered a sinister plot by the Rivers State Governor Nyeson Wike to disrupt machinery of governance in strategic Federal Government Agencies by provoking a violent breach of peace in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, from this Thursday through the yuletide season.

Over one million jobs are to be created from the Manufacturing, sales and utilization of set top boxes in Nigeria within the next three years.

President Buhari Request States to pay workers from debt service refund

President Muhammadu Buhari has requested Governors to pay at least 25 percent of the refunds made to them from excess deductions for external debt service, to be used to settle outstanding workers’ entitlements.

The President approved the sum of N552.74 billion to be paid in batches to all the states that are owed, but they are expected to receive 25% of their approved sums in the first instance before this week runs out. There are about 33 states in this bracket. Read More
