Senate Passes Electronic Transaction Bill

The Senate has passed for second reading electronic transaction Bill aimed at bridging the gap between Nigeria and the developed societies where electronic digital technology has helped in propelling economies into pre-eminence and global dimension.

Senator Bassey Otu from Cross River state who sponsored the Bill says it will also go a long way in putting the nation`s financial system in line with global standards.

The Senate also discussed reported plans by Zamfara state Government to arm vigilante groups in the state.
