The Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, says it is partnering with other Legal-Institutions in the country and the National Assembly to update some of the country’s laws. Director-General of the Institute, Professor Ephraim Azinge announced this while addressing academic and non-academic staff of the Legal Research Institute on how it can fit into the targets and tasks of the nation’s legal-community. He called for understanding from Nigerians on the nature of the existing laws, some of which he notes, need to be updated to meet current realities. Several researchers who were at the forum, spoke of the need for a wide-spectrum of input into the implementation of laws for greater national transformation.
