Super Eagles Awarded CON, OON, MON

Flush from their victory in South Africa, the Super Eagles have been awarded Nigeria’s top honours. Present Jonathan conferred coach Stephen Keshi with the national honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger – CON, N10 million and a plot of land in Abuja. The Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo earned his title as Officer of the Order of the Niger – OON, N5 million and a plot of land in Abuja.

Other Super Eagles players bagged the Member of the Order of the Niger – MON titles, N5 million and plots of land each. Assistant Coaches Daniel Amokachie, Ike Shorunmu, Sylvanus Okpala were also rewarded with the Officer of the Order of the Niger – OON, N5 million and plots of land.

Billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote sweetened the deal by giving an additional N5 million each to the Super Eagles players and coaches.
