Okupe on Presidents Visit to Lagos

The Presidency says the planned visit of President Jonathan to Lagos is not in any way to disrupt the proceedings of the Action Congress of Nigeria’s convention or proposed merger with other political parties. Reacting to a statement credited to the National Publicity Secretary ACN, Lai Mohammed calling on Lagos State Governor to control or obstruct the President’s movement on that day, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, says the call is mischievous. He also cautions against the use of intemperate language on the President who is the symbol of the Nation’s collective sovereignty.
