The Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu has appealed to Nigerians to take the postponement to the general elections in good faith saying that the change in date was meant to ensure that the election was not only peaceful, but also adjudged as one of the best conducted in |Nigeria. Senator Ekweremadu emphasized that if the postponement t would guarantee best standards and the security of lives and property then it is worth the delay. He appealed to Nigerians to work with the Independent National Electoral Commission, the political parties, and the government to make the elections worthwhile urging  Nigerians to use this opportunity to collect their permanent voters card and also conduct themselves with every sense of patriotism throughout the electoral processes.

  1. Elections were a ‘do or die’ affair before Jonathan. Today, Anambra, Edo, Ondo, Ekiti, Osun had transparent polls, we also need to get this one right. Kudos INEC for the postponment…………. #GEJ4NAIJA

  2. Finally, it is clear to everyone now that INEC was not ready. If elections were held, it would have been chaotic.…, lets cut the president some slack and allow a free and transparent process where everyone is allowed to vote. #GEJ4Naija
