The Senate today suspends Senator Ali Ndume from Borno South senatorial district for six months.
Recall Ndume raised the said allegation of certificate forgery by Senator Dino Melaye from Kogi West who happens to be a close ally of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki from Kwara State.
Even as the outcome of the investigation has five more weeks to be presented to the red chamber, the senate deem it fit to suspend the former senate leader who said such matter should not and can not be overlooked.
At the hearing on Monday, the ABU Zaria Vice Chancellor Prof. Garba said, “from available information to him, Dino Melaye graduated from the university with BA Arts (Third Class Degree).”
When asked of his certificate, Sen. Dino said he is yet to collect the certificate but promised to collect soon.
