Nigerians have been urged to learn to depend on God for leadership at all times for perpetual peace in the country. Archbishop of Abuja Archdiocese of Methodist Church of Nigeria, Most Reverend Chimaroke Iweha gave this charge at a special thanksgiving service.

The induction and thanksgiving service for Dennis Okechukwu Mark as the Presbyter and Cathedral Administrator took place at the Methodist Church, Cathedral Circuit, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja.

Most Reverend Chimavoke Iweha while performing the ceremony enjoined believers to accept the leadership of God in their homes, offices and nation.

It was another celebration and thanksgiving for members of the old Grammarian Society as they mark 154 years of the first secondary school in Nigeria, the Church Missionary Society, CMS Grammar School, Lagos. Reverend Cannon Lambert in his sermon charged Christians on the worship and service to humanity.

The President of the Abuja branch of the Old Grammarian Society, Professor Kenneth Iwugo says their focus is to revive Christian Ethics in schools.

Also at the Shilo Word Chapel, Prophet Samuel Okafor admonished Christians to show love to all mankind irrespective of their religion or tribes, urging the men to live exemplary lives as they mark the annual Fathers’ Day.
