The Chairman Senate Committee on Defence and Army, George Sekibo described what he called aggressive transformation drive in the Nigerian Army as a welcome development.
The Chief of Army Staff Lt General Azubuike Ihejurika said part of the transformation put in place is the measure designed to fish and flush out bad eggs in the service leaking information to terrorists, warning officers and Men to desist from such acts.
Meanwhile the National Security Challenges have been situated within the global security landscape and need for strategic communication by the former United States Ambassafor to Nigeria Robin Sanders at the National Defence College.
In the meantime, Nigeria and foreign partners met at a round table to review Governance and Security in a democratic Nigeria to chart the way forward for the country. This was at the National Defence College where the need to strengthen the democratic institutions to address poverty, unemployment and corruption to reduce insecurity came to the force.
