Special Forces Restore Peace in Yobe

The Joint Special Task Force has apprehended a total of forty-nine suspected Boko Haram Terrorists in various parts of Yobe State. The arrests were made during the cordon and search operation with various weapons including AK-47 rifles, locally made pistols and ammunition recovered.

The development which was narrated to the Defence Headquarters Operation Assessment Team in Damaturu by the Team Leader, Air Commodore Inyang also disclosed that some of the Terrorists in the area are from neighboring Niger Republic while terrorists camps in the area had been dislodged.

The press release from the office of Director Defence Information, Brigadier General, A.C. Olukolade assured law abiding Nigerians of the safety of their lives and property as troops of the Special Forces including Bomb Squad are working round the clock to nip the negative trend in the bud.
