Women for Peace Makes Case for Widows

It was a sober and prayerful mood when the Widows Welfare Coordinators of the Women for Peace, a Non Governmental Organization from the 19 Northern States met with widows in Nassarawa State.

National President of the NGO, Hajiya Binta Kuraye led other Coordinators to console the widows and share in their grief. They urged the widows to take solace and carry on with their lives, especially in bringing up their children. The Nassarawa State Police Officers Wives and the Widows expressed appreciation for the gesture.

More than 60 Police Men and 10 other State Security Operatives lost their lives following an attack in a village near Lafia.
