The President made the appeal Tuesday evening while hosting Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and members of the federal executive council to the breaking of Ramadan fast.

he said with the economy going down, the enormous potentials in agriculture and solid minerals sectors yet to be fully exploited and the nation’s critical assets being vandalized by militants, prayers can go a long way in helping Nigeria.

 

President Buhari who recalled with concern the two million lives Nigerians lost during the civil war, called for caution on the part of those fanning the embers of disunity in the country.

Vice-president Yemi Osinbajo who responded on behalf of the cabinet thanked the president for the show of hospitality and hope that the prevailing spirit of unity in Ramadan will permeate throughout the country for national development.

Good Morning Nigeria on New Bailout for States

The growing inability of states to pay workers salary has led the federal government to offer another bailout to the states, the second within one year.

Economy experts speaking on NTA’s Good Morning Nigeria expressed divergent views on the decision of the federal government to grant 90 billion naira bailout to state governments after the initial one of over 713 billion.
