President Buhari On South Sudan
President Muhammadu Buhari has made a case for targeted Sanctions against Political Leaders in South Sudan for Flagrantly violating and circumventing the Peace Agreement Signed in august last year.
Speaking at the African Union Peace and Security Council meeting in New York, the President said it is high time the Officials are held Accountable for Undermining peace, Justice and Democracy.
President Buhari Challenges World Leaders On IDP’S
Nigeria has warned that unless there is collective resolve by world leaders to Develop more Effective Strategies in addressing large movements of refugees and migrants as well as Humanitarian needs of IDP’S in Nigeria, the Global Aspirations towards achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development goals may be impeded.
President Muhammadu Buhari who gave the warning while Addressing Participants at the united nation’s first ever summit on refugees and Migrants in New York, said humanity is better promoted and protected if Leaders work for the common good of all.
More than 190 Heads of State and Governments Attended the Summit.
President Buhari Non-Aligned Summit Movement
President Muhammadu Buhari has urged member- nations of the non-aligned movement to share experiences in tackling the Global Economic crisis Characterized by the Collapse of Commodity prices worsening Youth Unemployment and Exchange rate Instability among others.
His views were expressed in a message read on his Behalf by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hajiya Khadija Bukar Ibrahim at the seventeenth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the non-aligned Movement in Margarita, Venezuela.
There is an urgent need the President said, to create jobs for the teeming Population, Explore Creative ways to add value to terms of trade, ensure good Governance and also tackle the Challenge of Corruption.
The President’s message also focused on the need for the Sustainable Development goals to be truly people-centered so as to promote enduring peace and security, discourage Migration in search of imaginary Greener Pastures, as well as insulate youths from Doctrinarian and Recruitment into criminality.
Mrs. Buhari On Tuberculosis At UNGA
Wife of the President Mrs. Aisha Buhari has taken a bold step to Mobilizing the Wives of the Presidents the world over in supporting the course of ending tuberculosis across the globe.
Mrs. Buhari stated this at the stop Tuberculosis partnership opening dialogue as part of the side meeting of the 71st united nation general assembly in New York City USA.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has identified the Private Sector as very critical to how the Nation Responds to the Recession and as the presidential quarterly Business forum commences, he has promised a steady engagement with stakeholders towards uplifting the nation’s economy.
House Of Representatives Resumes
House of Representatives reconvene after eight weeks recess and adjourned plenary after 30 Mins of deliberations.
It adjourned in honor of one of its members, late Adewale Oluwatayo who died on the 20th of july, 2016.
The late Oluwatayo represented Ifako/Ijaiye Federal Constituency of Lagos State.
The house however expressed commitment towards improving the state of the nation’s economy.
Senate President On Team Rio Paralympics
Meanwhile President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has lauded the Nigerian athletes for their heroic performance at the just concluded 2016 Paralympics in Rio, Brazil.
Dr. Saraki in a statement by his special adviser, Media & Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu in Abuja said the physically challenged Athletes have once again leading other African teams with 12 medals comprising eight Gold, two Silver and two Bronze Medals at the Tournament.
The Senate President said he is particularly happy with the new world Records set by Six of our Powerlifting Representatives and other Athletes.
He encouraged younger and aspiring athletes to put in more hard work and dedication towards realizing their dreams.
Dr. Saraki said the Senate will not relent in Partnering and supporting the best hands in order to improve on the Nation’s Sporting Standard.
The Senate President also commended the Rio Paralympic 2016 team Nigeria Technical Crew, Coaches, Fans and Other Partners who collectively ensured the victory recorded in the various contests.
He added that the glory attained is not only for the nation but a sign of honor and patriotism on the part of the athletes.

Onto other matters now; Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Mahmud Mohammed says disciplinary action will be taken against judicial officers involved in conflicting Judgments that do not show respect for laid down principles of law.
This is one of the positions the Chief Justice of Nigeria stated at the opening of the 2016/2017 new legal year of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Federal Government Hosts African Countries On Biotechnology
Nigeria is hosting seven international centers for Generic Engineering and Biotechnology Member Countries in the quest to intensify efforts to Implement Biotechnology in Agriculture.
The two-week workshop is aimed at Equipping Participants with skill on Generating Transgenetic Plants and Bacteria.

Boko Haram Terrorists Ambush Escort
Suspected boko haram terrorists who were foraging for food, Ambushed troops of Operation Lafiya dole escorting commercial Vehicles from Damboa to Maiduguri, at Sanda General Area, Borno State.
5 civilians lost their lives at the incident and another died on the way to the hospital. Three soldiers also sustained injuries.
A statement by the Army Relations Officer, Sani Kukasheka says a Robust Patrol Team has been dispatched to reinforce the Troops, clear the General area and pursue the terrorists.

Members of the Nigerian community in London have expressed concern over the emergency of the country as one of the five most common countries of origin for potential victims of trafficking to the UK among other crimes.
This concern was raised at a town hall meeting on ways of finding solutions.
