The Nigeria Police has arrested the most wanted kidnap Chukwudi  Dumeme Onuamadike a.k.a. Evans. The suspect was paraded with members of his gang at the Lagos State Command Ikeja.


2017 Budget of Economic Recovery Signed

After almost six months of legislative delay, the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has assented to the 2017 budget to give hope to the nation’s economic recovery and growth.


Ending Stigmatization on Mental Healthcare

Mental illness is set to be given the attention it deserves in the FCT as Garki General Hospital and a private healthcare center sign memorandum of understanding.

Reports say that in addition to providing adequate facilities, the mou is also geared towards ending stigmatization against people suffering from such illness

FG reconstitutes code of conduct Bureau

The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has approved the code of conduct bureau board with Dr. Muhammad Isah as chairman, while Murtala Kankia, Emmanuel Attah, Danjuma Sado, Ubolo Okpanachi, Ken Madaki Alkali, Prof. S.F. Ogundare, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, Sa’ad Abubar and Dr. Vincent Nwanli are members.

Statement signed by director press, office of the secretary to the government of the federation, Mohammed Nakorji says the appointment which is for the first term of five years, is subject to confirmation by the senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


National Conference on Protection of Holy Sites

Building consensus on the protection and preservation of holy sites in Nigeria is crucial for sustainable peace.

FRSC to Commence Psychiatric Test on Traffic Offenders

The 2017 budget over 7.44 trillion naira passed by the national assembly has been signed into law.

AU Candidate for DG of UNESCO

The only Africa Union candidate vying for the post of the Director General of UNESCO, Ambassador Moushira Khattab says her vision for the organization is keenly on education.

Ambassador Khattab who is an Egyptian Diplomat and human rights activist made her intentions clear at a press briefing in Abuja as she tours UNESCO member states in secure their support.


Acting President Osinbajo in Awka

Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo has cautioned that unless social issues are given attention by the coalition of the executive, legislature, judiciary and civil society, nations will continue to witness agitations for shares of natural resources.

He stated this at a three day conference on law security and national development organized by Nigerian law teachers holding at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State.


Niger to Collaborate with NTA

Niger Republic has opened discussions with the Nigerian Television Authority in sharing and developing broadcast content.

This was the thrust of discussions when the Nigerien Minister of Communication accompanied Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed to the NTA headquarters in Abuja.
