Kogi State Gov’t Pledges New Field Office For NESREA

His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State has pledged closer cooperation with the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) with a view to creating a “safe and secured” environment in the State.

The Governor made the pledge when he received in audience the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of NESREA, Dr Lawrence Chidi Anukam during a courtesy call at his office in Lokoja.

RAMADAN: 20 Pastors, Imams Commence Campaigns to Bring Down Food Prices

As the month of Ramadan approaches a group of 20 Muslim and Christian clerics, have commenced a campaign in local markets across the Northern states to appeal to traders to bring down food prices.
The clergymen, working under the Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation, said they would visit markets, interact with traders and their leaders to halt the sharp rise in the prices, especially during the Muslim fasting period of the Ramadan.
