Governor of Adamawa State, Sen Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, felicitates with the Catholic Bishop of Yola, Bishop Dami Stephen Mamza, on his election as the Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria- CAN.

This was made known in a statement personally signed by the Governor and made available to the media by the governor’s SA Media and Publicity, Macauley Hunohashi on Friday.

Governor Bindow said the election of Bishop Mamza did not come to him as a surprise, “because of his pedigree as a peace-loving and hardworking disposition as a true Man of God.”

“My relationship with the newly elected CAN Chairman of our dear State transcends mere friendship. It is a brotherly bond that is rooted in spiritual understanding for the common good of the people of Adamawa State,” the Governor noted.

While urging Christians and believers of other faiths to render all the needed support and prayer for Bishop Mamza and his new team, Sen Jibrilla Bindow said he is optimistic that, “the newly elected CAN Chairman will succeed in his new task of leading CAN in Adamawa State”.
