President Buhari At 58th ECOWAS Summit
The 58th ordinary Session of the Heads of States and Government of the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS is now underway.
President Muhammadu Buhari is participating at the summit virtually along side other west African leaders virtually.
The Chairman of ECOWAS and President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo convened the high level engagement to deliberate on the political, economic, social and other issues affecting the Sub region.
Participants are expected to discuss reports on the situation in Mali, , the ECOWAS single currency programme, the status of implementation of ECOWAS payment and settlement system as well as the African continental Free trade Area agreement.
President is joined at the meeting by Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defence, Finance, Budget and National Planning as well as industry, Trade and Investment.
