Court Orders Ogbolafor to Open Case
Chief Vincent Ogbolafor is standing trial on a 17 count charge brought by the ICPC bordering on alleged conspiracy and award of fictitious contracts to the tune of 107 million naira. On the completion of the prosecution’s case, the defence rather than open it’s defence came up with a no case submission. But Justice Ishaq Bello in a ruling said there was enough Prima Facie Case to warrant Chief Ogbolafor open his defence. Defence witnesses will be taken on the 15th of April.
Meanwhile, Justice Adamu Bello of the Federal High Court, Abuja is to hear arguments of parties in the case which former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni Instituted against MTN alleging that the service provider tampered with the call logs of Justice Ayo Salami when he tried to prove that the suspended President of the Court of Appeal reached out to some ACN Chieftains during the pendency of his Governorship Litigation.
The case has been adjourned to the 2nd of May for the parties to adopt their processes.
