The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has cautioned students on their choice of movies that exposes them to dangerous lifestyle.
The board`s Director of Operations, Mr Chiedu Okolue gave the caution when he visited students of Government Secondary School, Ushafa in Abuja.
Okolue in a statement issued by Mr Martins Etuechere, the Board`s Head Corporate Affairs said, “watching bad movies can lead to drug addiction and other dangerous life styles or death.’’
“Therefore students should always watch only movies classified for their ages,’’ Okolue said adding, “the classification makes viewer’s choice easier.’’
He said also that NFVCB, in collaboration with Google, was planning a programme titled; “Web Range’’ scheduled to hold in the United States of America later in the year.
He said that no fewer than 100 students from Nigeria are expected to participate in the programme. (NAN)
