Cleric Urges Govt. Officials to Imbibe Change
Pastor Greatness Oladapo, Overseer of the Lost Hope Regainer International Faith Foundation Ministry on Saturday urged government officials to imbibe change in their respective offices.
Oladapo made the call at the maiden edition of Government Choice and Voice Awards in Abuja.
In his keynote address, the cleric admonished government officials on corruption, charging them to display examplary leadership attributes at the workplace as agents of change.
He condemned ethnicity and ideologies that prompt division in the workplace, noting that Nigeria could only be united when the citizens placed their country above any ethnic divide.
“I charge government officials to display godly qualities in public offices because they are the proper change agents.
“’Religion does not divide us, ethnicity does; let us use our various offices to effect discipline, pursue peace and unity because we can make the change,” he said.
He further called for the strengthening of the judiciary for good and speedy delivery of justice.
“Make the judiciary strong, empower it for justice; make good laws and policies for the nation, these will change our status quo,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that six recipients were honoured with the Government Choice and Voice Awards for diligence and excellence at their different public offices.
They are Sen. Fatimat Raji-Rasaki, Dr George Moghalu, APC governorship aspirant in Anambra State and Dr Oby Ezekwesili.
