Nigerians will continue to witness more dividends of the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan in the area of bridges and roads development. The Minister of works Mike Onolememen disclosed this at the formal commissioning of Vom-Manchok road.
Vom-Manchok road for years had remained untouchable due its difficult rocky terrain. But that has become a thing of the past now as the 40 kilometre road connecting Kaduna – Gimi – Jos has been commissioned. The scope of work includes four bridges and the excavation of rocks as high as 21 metres.
The Minister urged the communities along the road to preserve it as the Federal Government is set to deliver more roads this year. The road which is described as strategic connects communities in Ganawuri in Plateau State with Manchok in Southern Kaduna State who had been separated by the difficult terrain.
