FRSC Commissions 283 Operational Vehicles To Ensure Safety
The Federal Road Safety Commission was established on February 1988, the Federal Government formed this Commission through Decree No. 45 of the 1988 as amended by Decree 35 of 1992 referred to in the statute books as the FRSC Act cap 141 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN).
Passed by the National Assembly as Federal Road Safety Commission (establishment) Act 2007. The FRSC has the basic function of Making the highway safe for motorists and other road users.
On achieving this basic aim of ensuring safe roads and on the bid of promoting good governance of Buhari’s Administration, President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his administration’s commitment in demonstrating more support for the Federal Road Safety Corps to ensure safety of citizen’s lives and property through enhanced enforcement of safety standards on the nation’s highway.
This was stated by the representative of the President Federal Republic of Nigeria, Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazzau at the commissioning of two hundred and eighty-three operational vehicles, ambulances and a heavy duty tow truck belonging to the FRSC in Abuja.
