National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) are collaborating in strengthening Nigeria’s Multi-Hazard Contingency Plan.
A four-day workshop organized by NEMA in collaboration with UNICEF has opened in Keffi, to review the national multi-hazard contingency plan, consolidate and strengthen commitment to a coordinated national system.
It is expected to improve coordination and collaboration among stakeholders in preparation and response to disaster incidents.
The workshop they say is necessary due to the continuing changes in the environment with its devastating effects.
