Three Companies Sign Deal to Accelerate Electric Vehicles in Nigeria

Nigeria has taken another step towards achieving its net-zero emissions target, as three companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the deployment of electric vehicles across the country.

The agreement, under the Abuja Electric Vehicle Ecosystem Strategic Partnership and Asset Handover Initiative, is designed to promote the adoption of electric mobility, strengthen supporting infrastructure, and encourage investment in clean transportation.

Stakeholders say the partnership will help reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, create green jobs, and position Nigeria as a key player in the transition to sustainable transportation.

The initiative reflects growing efforts to expand the country’s clean energy ecosystem while supporting environmental sustainability and economic development.
