The Gombe State Police Command has put in place comprehensive security arrangements and deployed security personnel and operational assets across the state to ensure a peaceful Eid el-Fitr celebration.
As part of the proactive measures, the Command issued a security advisory urging members of the public to strictly adhere to all security guidelines.
It encouraged residents to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activities, movements, objects, or individuals to the nearest police station or other security agencies.

Motorists and motorcyclists were also advised to comply fully with all traffic rules and regulations, while parents and guardians were urged “to maintain close supervision of their children and wards throughout the festive period.”
In the event of an emergency, members of the public should contact the Command Control Room via 0815 056 7771. Alternatively, you may reach the nearest police station through the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) using the contact details provided in the attached directory.” the Command advised.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Ahmed Chuso, reaffirmed the ‘Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents before, during, and after the celebrations.”
