A political support group, Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative has commended the leadership and developmental efforts of the Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno.
Addressing a mammoth crowd in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, Southern Nigeria, President-General of the Initiative, Uwem Okoko, said the synergy among the leaders had driven transformation and economic development across several sectors.
He conveyed the unanimous adoption of the three leaders by the people of Eket.
Okoko said; “Eket has unanimously adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a sole candidate in the 2027 General Election. Our son, Godswill Obot Akpabio, is the sole candidate of all political parties in the 2027 General Election for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District and Umo Bassey Eno, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, 2023 to 2031.”
Also speaking, the Dean, College of Commissioners and Organising Secretary of the Initiative, Mkpisong Frank Archibong, expressed confidence in the leaders’ chances.
Archibong said; “No matter the doctrine that will be deployed, be it interpersonal relation doctrine, be it doctrine of development, be it doctrine of peace, be it doctrine of victory, be it doctrine of success, be it doctrine of necessity, whatever doctrine that will be deployed, Tinubu will win convincingly. Umo Eno will win convincingly. That no matter the doctrine, we will not stop praying for the Senate President.”
Member representing Eket Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Nsidibe Akata, highlighted growing cooperation between the state and the Nigerian government.
He said; “This is the first time in recent years that we can have this sort of amalgamation of what is termed the state agenda with that of the Nigerian government…We are totally committed, united and focused while we are working for the re-election of our president for a second term, for the re-election of our senate president and re-election of our governor.”
Meanwhile, the Director-General of the Umo Eno campaign organisation, Assam Assam, urged supporters to intensify mobilisation.
He said; “We are going to nooks and crannies of our wards and constituencies to ensure that we cultivate people to vote APC.”
Chairman of Eket Local Government Area, Akaninyene Tommey, said: “The people of Eket Local Government Area are solidly behind the Performing President of our country, Distinguished Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
The International Coordinator of the Initiative, Udo Kierian Akpan said:
“Take this message to the grassroots. Arise with Renewed Hope has come to stay for the purposes of making sure our Governor returns to office in 2027, that Tinubu returns to office in 2027, and that all other APC candidates return to office.”
The Initiative said it aims to align state and federal development agendas while mobilising grassroots support for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
