NDDC Dines with Diplomatic Community

The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, says it’s programme of Youth Training and Empowerment has engaged over 3000 Youths in less than 3 years. The managing director and chief executive officer of the commission dr. Christian Oboh disclosed this while hosting members of the diplomatic communities to a dinner in abuja. The dinner , organizers say is to bring together members of the diplomatic cors and NDDC Technical Partners in an informal interactive forum to discuss opportunities that abound in the Niger Delta region now that peace has returned.
Dr Christian Oboh while talking on the return of peace to the region said the commission had embarked on many projects in all the 9 states of the region. He therefore called on prospective investors to take the advantage now that the region is yearning for development.
The Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Martin Uhomoibhi who commended the NDDC for heading the development drive in the region assured development partners of guaranteed peace. He noted that the Niger Delta region is rich in other mineral resources apart from oil and gas.
