The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) was established to train the brightest African young scientist up to PHD level in universities across the globe to become great thinkers and problem solvers through their own scientific initiatives.
Minister for Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu described the AIMS initiative, as a preparatory ground for the sciences of the future which Nigeria must be part of.
President of the institute, Neil Turock expressed his willingness to ensure that Nigeria joins the AIMS institute.
About Nine Hundred and Sixty Thousand students has benefited from the AIMS post graduate program, some of them were honoured at the world science event.
It is hoped that the next Einstein initiative for Africa will help to take the continent to the next level of technological advancement
