Edino Justice, Abuja: The ongoing reforms in the ministry of communication is to position the ministry to become the highest revenue contributor to the country’s gross domestic products, GDP.
The minister of communication Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu stated this at an interactive session with the broadcast media managers and online editors in Abuja.
Edino reports that the minister wants the potential investors to take advantage of the time.
These emerging opportunities according to the minister are plans to turn the vast facilities of its agencies like the NIPOST, NICOMSAT, NITDA, NCC and that of the Galaxy Backbone into higher profit making ventures in Nigeria.
The minister noted that the ministry under two years had contributed about 12 per cent to the countries gross domestic products, gdp.
he therefore urged both the national and international investors to seize the opportunity created by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The group’s leader, Tijjani Yusuf and Attah Amodu thanked the minister for the opportunity to interact and share information on the development and challenges of the ministry.
