Nollywood actress Nancy Isime is embracing a new chapter in her career as she prepares to make her debut as an executive producer.
The actress announced the development in an Instagram video, where she admitted feeling nervous but excited about taking on the new responsibility.
“This is my first production as executive producer. I can’t lie, I am nervous and wondering if I am ready, but I think it’s about time; I have also tried,” she said.
Her move into film production also builds on years of experience behind the scenes. As the executive producer and host of The Nancy Isime Show, Isime has been involved in shaping the programme beyond her role in front of the camera, gaining experience in the creative and production processes that come with running a television show. Her first film as an executive producer therefore represents an expansion of a responsibility she has gradually taken on throughout her career.

She explained that the move is deeply personal, coming after years of portraying characters and telling stories created by others. She said she is now ready to step behind the camera and tell a story of her own.
“I’ve spent years telling other people’s stories. Now, I’m stepping behind the camera to tell one of my own,” she said.
The actress also promised to take her fans along as she navigates her first project in the new role, offering them a glimpse into the work and challenges involved in bringing a film to life.
“My first film as an Executive Producer. And I want you to come along for the entire journey – the meetings, the madness, the outfits, the decisions, the wins, the things that don’t quite go as planned… everything,” she added.
Nancy Isime began her entertainment career as a model before transitioning into television and acting. She made her acting debut in the 2011 television series Echoes and has since established herself across film and television.
