Nigeria Signs New Infrastructure Agreement with Construction Companies

The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Works, has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with two construction companies as part of efforts to ensure the completion of critical legacy road projects across Nigeria.

The agreement is aimed at accelerating infrastructure development, improving transportation networks, boosting economic activities, and enhancing connectivity across various regions of the country. Officials say the partnership reflects the government’s commitment to delivering long-awaited road projects that are vital to national development and economic growth.

The legacy road projects are expected to improve mobility for businesses and citizens, reduce travel time, support trade and commerce, and create employment opportunities within the construction and logistics sectors. Speaking during the signing ceremony, representatives of the Federal Ministry of Works emphasized the importance of strategic collaboration with private sector partners in delivering durable and high-quality infrastructure nationwide.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts by the Federal Government to modernize Nigeria’s road network, strengthen regional integration, and support sustainable economic expansion through improved infrastructure.
