House of Representatives Seeks Enhanced Security for Worshippers Nationwide

The House of Representatives of Nigeria has called for improved coordination and intelligence sharing among security agencies to strengthen the protection of worship centres and worshippers across the country.

The call was made during plenary as lawmakers continued deliberations on prevailing security challenges affecting different parts of Nigeria.

Members emphasized the importance of timely intelligence gathering, information sharing, and inter-agency collaboration in preventing attacks on religious institutions and ensuring public safety.

The House noted that places of worship must remain safe environments for citizens to practice their faith without fear or intimidation.

Lawmakers also urged security agencies to adopt proactive measures capable of addressing emerging threats and safeguarding lives and property nationwide.
