The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has raised concerns over unhealthy relationships between governing boards and chief executive officers in federal agencies, describing the trend as unacceptable.

This was contained in a message delivered on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, during the induction programme for chief executive officers, chairmen, and governing board members of federal parastatals, agencies, and commissions.

The programme, organised to promote organisational effectiveness and corporate governance, focused on strengthening accountability, professionalism, and collaboration within public institutions.
