Dolly Parton has cancelled her Las Vegas residency due to ongoing health concerns. In a statement shared on social media, the 80-year-old country music legend revealed she is “responding really well to meds and treatments” and “improving every day,” following a long-standing battle with kidney stones.

Parton initially postponed her six-date residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from December 2025 to September 2026 to focus on her health. As of May 2026, she explained the decision to cancel entirely was made after consulting medical professionals, describing her current regimen as a “100,000-mile check-up.”

The treatments and medication have caused dizziness, making it impossible for her to perform her energetic shows, which require wearing heavy rhinestone outfits and high heels. Parton also mentioned that her immune and digestive systems need time to recover after a period of neglect while caring for her husband, Carl Dean, during his illness.

Despite the setback, Parton emphasized that she is not retiring and remains optimistic about her recovery.
