After the success of ‘Made in Zaria,’ Kings and Queen Fashion Show is set to craft another compelling narrative with ‘Made in Kubwa’—the theme for the upcoming Kubwa Fashion Show, taking place next month in Abuja. This event serves as a creative platform to spotlight emerging talent within Abuja, particularly from Kubwa and neighbouring communities. Models, designers, photographers, and other creatives will come together to showcase fashion as more than just clothing, but as a form of identity, expression, and culture. According to the organizers, the show goes beyond the runway; it’s about building a system—a space where local talent is seen, supported, and given the structure needed to grow.

The founder, Martins Iyeh—a professional model based in Abuja—explained that the inspiration for the show comes from recognizing the abundance of untapped talent outside traditional fashion hubs. He expressed a desire to create something intentional, not driven by trends, but focused on building a unique identity of its own.
‘Made in Kubwa’ is designed to directly support local entrepreneurs by giving them greater visibility and access. Designers can present their work to a live audience and connect with potential clients and collaborators. The event also provides a valuable networking platform for designers, models, stylists, and photographers. Ultimately, this exposure and collaboration contribute to sustainable growth within the local fashion ecosystem. This platform directly supports local entrepreneurs by giving them visibility and access.

Much like the experience curated in Zaria, the organizers promise that ‘Made in Kubwa’ will be equally intentional. Every aspect—from casting to runway presentation—will be carefully designed to reflect originality and a strong sense of identity. According to the founder, the vision has always been to build a network of fashion platforms across various cities, beginning with those that are often overlooked. ‘Made in Kubwa’ is set to take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, in Abuja.
