Elders of the Gongola people in Adamawa State, under the umbrella of Indigenous Ethnic Nationalities, have unanimously endorsed the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office.

The elders also called for a level playing field ahead of the 2027 governorship election, urging the All Progressives Congress to ensure a transparent, fair, and democratic selection process. According to the council, justice and fairness in the political process are essential for unity, stability, and continued progress within the party and the state.

They further advised that their appeal should be considered in the interest of the majority, warning that anything contrary could affect the party’s chances of maintaining dominance in the state.
