The Confederation of African Football (Confederation of African Football) has awarded Ghana the rights to host the 2027 CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations. The Ghana Football Association (Ghana Football Association) confirmed the development in a statement, noting that CAF communicated the decision in a letter addressed to its General Secretary, Prosper Addo.

According to the GFA, the decision reflects CAF’s confidence in Ghana’s ability to deliver a high-standard youth tournament that meets continental expectations. Ghana previously hosted the competition in 1999, a memorable edition in which the Black Satellites won the title on home soil.

The 2027 tournament will also coincide with Ghana’s 70th Independence anniversary, adding historical significance to the event.
