Nigeria Launches Tax Ombud Platform to Strengthen Transparency

As Nigeria advances fiscal reforms and promotes a new tax culture, government officials have unveiled the Tax Ombud Nigeria website, toll-free call centre, and case management portal aimed at improving taxpayer confidence and transparency.

The initiative is designed to provide citizens and businesses with a platform to resolve tax-related complaints, improve communication with revenue authorities, and strengthen accountability in tax administration. Officials say the Tax Ombud system will help bridge trust gaps between taxpayers and government institutions while supporting fair and efficient dispute resolution processes.
