The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Governor Abiodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of the 2026 Ekiti State Governorship Election.

Announcing the final results, INEC stated that Oyebanji secured 319,224 votes to defeat his closest rivals and retain the governorship seat for another four-year term.
The results announced by INEC are as follows:
- APC (Abiodun Oyebanji) – 319,224 votes
- PDP – 40,543 votes
- ADC – 12,872 votes
Declaring the result, the Returning Officer said that Oyebanji, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of valid votes cast in the election, was duly returned elected as Governor of Ekiti State.

The outcome reflects a decisive mandate from the electorate and reinforces the APC’s dominance in the state. Supporters of the governor celebrated the victory across several parts of Ekiti State, while political observers described the result as a strong endorsement of Oyebanji’s first-term performance.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Oyebanji thanked the people of Ekiti State for their overwhelming support and confidence in his administration. He pledged to continue pursuing policies and programmes aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and the overall welfare of the citizens.
The governor also called on his opponents and all stakeholders to put politics aside and work together in the interest of the state’s continued growth and development.
