Police Launch Handshake Patrol Initiative to Strengthen Security Across Kano

Security operations across Kano State are set to receive a major boost following the conclusion of an operational and security assessment tour by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the North-West Zone, DIG Sulaiman Mohammed Abdul.

During the visit, the DIG announced that the Nigeria Police Force will intensify interstate border surveillance through the newly introduced Handshake Patrol Initiative. The initiative is designed to strengthen inter-agency coordination, improve intelligence sharing, and curb cross-border criminal activities.

The move is expected to enhance security architecture in Kano and reinforce collaborative efforts among security agencies to safeguard lives and property across the region.
