Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested a 41-year-old Brazil-based businessman for allegedly importing shirts and towels impregnated with 6.10 kilograms of liquid cocaine into Nigeria from Brazil.

The suspect reportedly concealed the illicit drugs within clothing materials in an attempt to evade detection by security operatives. The arrest is part of ongoing nationwide efforts by the NDLEA to dismantle drug trafficking networks operating across international routes.

In a separate operation during the week under review, the agency also intercepted another group of persons with disabilities linked to alleged drug trafficking activities, underscoring the agency’s intensified crackdown on narcotics distribution and smuggling.
