The Made In Abuja Creative and Entertainment Industry Conference and Award is bringing together talent, enterprise and industry stakeholders to advance Abuja’s creative economy through dialogue, networking and recognition.
The Made In Abuja Creative and Entertainment Industry Conference and Award (MACEiCA) has opened registration for its 2026 edition, scheduled for November 26 and 27 in Abuja.
Convened by Gabriel Ubochi, the platform aims to recognise creative talent, strengthen industry connections and establish pathways between creativity and commercial opportunities.
The 2026 edition will be held under the theme “Decoding Abuja’s Creative and Entertainment Industry Ecosystem: Trends, Opportunities, and Challenges,” bringing together creative practitioners, entrepreneurs, brands, media organisations, public institutions and investors to discuss the development and commercial potential of the industry.
The conference programme on November 26 will focus on practical industry discussions, featuring five keynote addresses and four cross-sector panels covering policy, infrastructure, finance, intellectual property, production, distribution, audience engagement and commercial growth.
The discussions will also examine the skills and policy environment for creative work, strategies for protecting and monetising intellectual property, the process of taking content from conception to audiences, and opportunities in fashion, live experiences and tourism.
The conference will conclude with the MACEiCA Industry Action Note, outlining priority recommendations, potential partners, action owners and proposed next steps. Organisers say a summary of findings will be published within seven days, while relevant actions will be communicated to stakeholder groups within 14 days.
A virtual follow-up with willing partners is also planned within 30 days of the event to sustain discussions and advance proposed initiatives.

Beyond the conference, the 2026 edition will feature a Fashion Runway Exhibition Show, a Creative Marketplace and the MiA Award Ceremony.
The fashion exhibition will showcase the relationship between design, talent, sponsorship, media and commerce, while the marketplace will provide opportunities for creative businesses, service providers and entrepreneurs to connect with prospective customers and partners.
The award ceremony will recognise achievements and contributions across the creative and entertainment industries.
Registration is open to creative practitioners, including musicians, filmmakers, actors, comedians, designers, photographers, writers and content creators, as well as creative businesses, public institutions, corporate organisations, sponsors, investors, media professionals, students and emerging talents.
According to the organisers, previous editions of the platform have featured more than 200 nominees across award categories and over 50 industry speakers, while connecting more than 500 industry professionals and showcasing over 1,000 creative talents across at least seven sectors.
Speaking on the initiative, Ubochi said, “Together, we can turn conversations into connections, talent into opportunity and ideas into lasting value.”

Registration is currently open, with no deadline specified. Interested participants can register through www.miaaward.ng/register.
